FAQ’s

Which services does brand offer that would be of assistance in maintaining my facility and its fire code compliance?
 PFI resolution assistance, fire and smoke damper inspections, labeling and repairs, fire door inspections and repairs, fire and smoke barrier repairs, firestopping and mechanical insulation.

How much experience does BRAND have?
Since our inception in 1994, BRAND has completed over 2,200 projects. Our average employee has over 9 years of experience and all employees have continuing education training on a yearly basis and are major material manufacturer trained in order to stay in the forefront of our industry.

How often do I have to have my dampers inspected?
Per NFPA 90A – 19.4 and 19.5, 2007 Edition states: Each damper shall be inspected one (1) year after installation and then the frequency shall be every six (6) years for hospitals. MOB's are required to be inspected every four (4) years.

How often do I have to have my fire doors inspected?
To maintain a facility's passive fire protection, healthcare facilities are required to have all Fire Doors inspected annually per NFPA 80 code 5.2. – For more information visit the Fire Door section of our website.

What is the turnaround time for repairs to be completed after the inspection process is finished?
Although, BRAND is able to turn around the inspection finding very quickly and can proceed with repairs immediately, the turnaround time is dependent on each facility. As soon as a facility is able to generate the proper documentation to begin work, BRAND will be able to staff your facility within a few days and quicker for emergencies.

Can Brand bundle their services into one package?
Yes. In order to provide facilities and contractors with a one-stop solution BRAND is able to bundle our services. This offers facility managers and general contractors the ease of working with one company and reduces the cost of our services to the customer.

Does Brand have safety policies and procedures in place?
Yes. We take the safety of our employee's very seriously. All BRAND personnel are OSHA 10 certified, and are required to participate in Weekly Tool Box Talks. As well, based on division requirements our employees are Confined Space, Ariel Work Platform, Asbestos & Lead trained and Respiratory Fit tested. In addition, all employees are trained in all major material manufacturer applications.
